Personal Injury/Workers' Compensation:
Over the past 30 years our firm has represented nearly a thousand persons injured during the course of their employment and persons who are injured outside of the workplace under circumstances giving rise to liability claims against responsible parties and their insurance carriers.
On a consistent basis over the past 30 years, we have handled nearly a thousand auto accident claims, premises liability cases, negligence claims and all varieties of work-related injuries. All of the consultations are free and we offer free case evaluations. If you elect to entrust your claim to our office to handle, we will represent you on a contingency fee basis ranging from twenty percent to one-third of the recovery depending upon the type of claim (exclusive of out-of-pocket expenses).
Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney):
We have represented thousands of families since the summer of 1979 in our Central Illinois law practice, and we have consistently emphasized the importance of planning to deal with disability issues and to formulate an intelligent plan to transfer assets following death with a minimum of expense and hassle to everyone involved. Our philosophy is to make the estate planning process as simple and as inexpensive as possible. For example, we are able to provide the typical married couple with minor children with Wills, Heath Care and Property Power of Attorney forms and a Testamentary Trust for approximately $300.00.
Adoptions:
There is no more happy occasion for any lawyer than to represent a parent and a step-parent in a related adoption case. The vast majority of these cases involve a biological parent who is willing to consent to the adoption by the step-parent. However, we are prepared to handle these projects on a contested or uncontested basis. Related adoptions have been a regular part of our law practice since 1979.
Corporate and Commercial Transactions:
Whether you are considering purchasing or selling a business or incorporating an existing business venture, the assistance of an attorney experienced in handling these types of transactions should be an area of critical concern. We approach these projects on a "time is of the essence" basis and we have handled these matters as a regular part of our law practice since 1979.
Traffic Cases and Misdemeanors:
Hiring a lawyer to obtain a court supervision disposition on a criminal misdemeanor case prevents a criminal conviction record. Hiring a lawyer to obtain a court supervision disposition on a traffic citation for a simple moving violation protects insurance rates and avoids driver's license suspensions. Further, hiring a lawyer to defend against a DUI charge helps you protect your legal interests and that the consequences will be no more severe than absolutely necessary. Handling these types of cases has been a regular part of our Central Illinois law practice since 1979.
Civil Litigation (Trial and Appellate):
Our law office has always focused upon civil litigation (trial and appellate) as a regular part of our law practice. This is a broad area covering everything from contract disputes to personal injury lawsuits. Some of these matters are handled on a contingency fee basis and some of these matters are billed on an hourly basis. Our philosophy has always been to keep the client well informed every step of the way and to vigorously pursue each and every matter entrusted to our care with our most important goal being to do our best to achieve complete client satisfaction.
Many of our more difficult and complex cases have resulted in legal victories for our clients that have established legal precedents for the State of Illinois.
